John Legend and Chrissy Teigen welcomed a baby boy through surrogacy.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend announced the birth of their fourth child on Instagram. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen welcomed their baby boy "Wren Alexander Stephens " into their family on June 18, via surrogate, and shared this exciting news on their Instagram profile.

Teigen shared that the baby was named partly after the surrogate, a woman named Alexandra, as a “thank you for this incredible gift” and so that the two can remain “forever connected.”

“After losing Jack, I didn’t think I’d be able to carry any more babies on my own. To be honest, I’ve personally blocked out a lot of my mindset during that time, but one clear memory is being surrounded by people who wanted to make sure I wouldn’t go through that pain and loss again.” 

Teigen shares that after losing Jack in October 2020, she didn’t think she would be able to physically carry any more children—but she wanted to try. She revealed in February 2022 that she was undergoing in vitro fertilization once again.

While the road to parenthood wasn’t always easy, Teigen finally has the big family she always dreamed about. She added “For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted four children,” on her Instagram post. 

Teigen and Legend are also the parents of their daughter Luna, 7, and son Miles, 5, who were born in April 2016 and May 2018.
