In the hustle and bustle of life, it's easy to put ourselves last, especially when we have countless responsibilities to juggle. Especially women, when they enter motherhood, tend to keep their health, and well-being on hold and work for their families.
Today let's read a story of a woman, a mother who reclaimed her health and happiness, despite various responsibilities being a wife, being another, and a daughter.
The Inspirational and Transformational Journey of an Indian Woman
In the depths of a quiet house, she found herself standing alone, surrounded by memories of motherhood and a profound sense of sadness. It had been years since she had dedicated any time to herself, but with her children now grown and off to start their own lives, her mind urged her to rediscover her worth and happiness through something she genuinely enjoyed - even if it was just for one hour a day. And so, with a determined heart, she embarked on a transformative workout and fitness journey, seeking not only physical strength but also a path to reclaim her sense of self.
"My transformational journey is not about chasing a certain body shape; it's about becoming the best version of myself – mentally, emotionally, and physically," says Garima Anand, a certified Nutritionist and Fitness Consultant.
Garima Anand, the 47years old Indian woman, got married at the age of 23 years, had to leave her job to accompany her navy merchant husband on his voyages, and later spent the majority of her time parenting her boys.
"During covid times, When everybody was locked up in their homes, I decided to rewrite my story and rediscover the woman I am beneath all the responsibilities. This journey is a celebration of self-love and empowerment." - She adds.
She enrolled in an online fitness course and set up a home gym with her partner, her husband.
Her perseverance, hard work, and most importantly consistency she tried to build every day, made her a certified Nutritionist and Fitness Consultant. Her dedication towards her workout, unconditional love for her health, and her body motivated her to take up a Transformation challenge, where she was in the Top 3 among other 13000 participants.
Garima Commented on her Fitness Journey, It was not easy at all, I had to follow my routine religiously, getting up early, doing all of the household chores, and showing up at the gym every single day was tough, I won't lie but I want other people to just know that losing weight is possible. Improving your health and quality of life is possible, and if it’s something you want to do, you can do it! It’s hard, but it’s definitely worth it. I am more confident, happier, and active in my 40s than was In my 30s.
Using different exercise; nutrition approaches; a positive mindset and of course, with her family in her support, Garima proves that low self-esteem, illnesses, and other huge life challenges like motherhood, heartbreak, and anxiety should be no barrier to feeling good about yourself.
Congratulations and praises to Garima Anand, a genuine source of motivation for all mothers who never prioritize themselves during the early stages of their lives, leading to potential depression in their later years, especially when menopause begins and when their children start living independently.
